Sidnei Beal III moved to New York after living most of his life in
Dallas, Texas. He graduated from the Center for Media Arts with a degree
in Graphic Arts and then went on to get a degree in Psychology and also
Culinary Arts.
He started his career in front of the camera as a Dancer, Singer, Model
and Actor, but after getting some bad headshots and complaining about
them, the photographer who took them said
"If you think you can do better then by all means do". Well that
pep talk inspired Sidnei to purchase his first camera and began
shooting.
Fashion was the first love for this young photographer who shot for
some of the best agencies in Dallas [The Campbell Agency, Susan
Horne, Fuse, Dumont Models and JaM Model Talent] then shooting for
magazines such as Beyond|Beyond, Dallas Social and D Magazine he began
making a name for himself and his style which was very contemporary with
a laid back attitude.
Beyond his professional achievements Sidnei has also achieved
national recognition as a dancer with Mahogany Dance Theater. As a
fashion model through the late 80's and early 90's, Sidnei appeared in
such magazines as Dallas Social, D Magazine and This Week In Texas as
well as appearing on the national television primetime soaps Dallas and
Dangerous Curves.
Sidnei has also designed and shot CD Covers for J-Chill, Brazina, Noa
Tylo, Browne Bag Productions and RJ Helton.
In addition to photography Sidnei is a filmmaker and an accomplished
author as well, completing a book of short stories, poetry and a full
length novel called Breaking Bonds. Currently Sidnei is developing his
passion for writing and photography and planning a movie of his book
Breaking Bonds..
